[comp.sys.hp] Lisp on a 400 in 10.3

michel@es.ele.tue.nl (Michel Berkelaar) (01/28/91)

Recently some new HAPollos 9000/400 running Domain 10.3 were delivered here.
They are being plugged into an existing Domain ring with DN3000 and DN2500
nodes running 10.2. For most things the cooperation seems to be perfect. But
when I try running Lisp (Apollo (Lucid) CommonLisp 4.0) on the 400, I get the
following error:

?(lisp) cannot map impure paging file 4F79644E.F002E2F3 at 520000 -
not enough a ddress space available (process manager/mapped segment manager)
uid mismatch (OS/MST manager)

Trying a different base_address for lisp does not help. There seems to be a
fundamental format problem in the executable. Therefore, the following
questions:

- What is the basic problem: the new operating system (10.3) or the
  architecture of the 400?
- Can I solve the problem, or do I need a new version of Lisp? If so, when
will it be available (Last time, when updating from 9.7 to 10.2, Apollo made
us wait 6 months before they shipped a version of Lisp compliant with 10.2)
