[comp.sys.hp] Escape sequences for laser fonts

johnv@aeshq.UUCP (John Visca) (02/01/91)

I need some information about changing fonts within a C program. I have a
laserjet II and have a cartridge 92286Z for it. Is there any way to download
the fonts from this cartridge into RAM and use the available fonts in a program by using escape sequences ?

There are escape sequences for this cartridge and I need them. If there is
someone that knows the escape sequence or any other way of changing fonts
within a C program please email me.

Thanks kindly

I don't know about downloading a specific font into ram but, if you
want to use a font via a escape sequence it's fairly easy. Do a "font
list" on the LJ-II and you will notice the examples on the right hand side
of the page. Just below the examples are an escape sequence that will enable
the the font that you want. The LJ-II will remain in that font until it's
changed or you reset the printer, either from the front panel or downloading
a reset( <esc>E). I hope this answers some of your questions. Enjoy
