[comp.sys.hp] curses doesn't work

I'm using HP/UX on a 9000/855, and the wprintw() function of curses
doesn't seem to work at all.  According to xdb, it's calling vsprintf()
and trying to flush the buffer!

Is this a known bug?  Is there a known fix?
