[comp.sys.hp] lpd control file, and X Toolki Warning: problem

longstre@erb1.engr.wisc.edu (Jon C. Longstreth) (02/21/91)

For the first problem I am modifying a remote BSD'ish lpd daemon that
accepts HP jobs.
My question is what the 'A0' is doing in the control file sent by hp-ux?
I can't find an 'A' command for control files in any lpd spec sheet.
Is this something special to HP, and does it mean anything that I should
pay attention to?

My second problem is with the X Toolkit library we received from HP for hp-ux.

The problem as reported is that the program compiles OK, but
when run we get using:

X Toolkit Warning: Widget class StaticText version mismatch:
	widget 2002 vs. intrinsics 11003.
X Toolkit Error: Widget class StaticText must be re-compiled.

I of course cannot re-compile this since HP did not send us the source.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Also has any one else run into this?

We are running hp-ux 7.0 and 7.03 on HP9000 345,300, and the 400T.

Please mail me longstre@cae.wisc.edu

Which libXt are you using (/usr/lib/libXt.a, or /usr/lib/libXtR2.a),
and which widget library are you using? My initial guess would be
that you're using either an R3 widget set (e.g. libXm.a) with an
R2 tookit (i.e. libXtR2.a), or an R4 widget set (i.e. something
you compiled) with an R3 toolkit (i.e. libXt.a).
