Does anybody has already installed an 1.2 GB Wren VII disk from seagate, and can give me the corresponding disktab entry. Thank you very much for your help. Claude Lecommandeur Service Informatique Central EPFL 1025 LAUSANNE SWITZERLAND

I believe the Wren VII is one of those variable-geometry disks, which means you can't describe the geometry correctly. The good news is that it really doesn't matter. Just make up some reasonable geometry (like 32K/track and 16 track/cyl), and set the number of cylinders to give something less than the capacity reported by diskinfo. The difference between the formatted capacity and the ns*nt*nc product is what's available for swap. If you run into a disk bigger than 1 gig formatted, don't try using a file system bigger than 1 gig on 7.0 for Series 300/400. The Wren VII is just under a gig formatted.
