A project that I am currently envolved in has thrust upon
me a requirement to scroll through a large (about 10Mb)
file using Motif widgets.
In addition, this file is NOT an ASCII file; it is a
binary file. The contents of this file include integer,
float, et al values. These values should be read in and
formatted into rows and columns to be displayed.
Basically, I need to know how you would scroll through
any large file. The "OSF/Motif Programmer's Guide" hints
at the solution on (pp. 2-11, 2-12) in the section about
XmScrolledWindow.
I'm working on a network consisting of:
diskless HP9000s370's, 360's
with HPUX 7.0 and Motif.
diskless SPARCstation 1's
with SUNOS-4.1 and Motif
SUN 4/330 as a server
HP9000s360 as a server
Does anybody know the solution to this problem? Or even
have any reasonable ideas? All help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill Pinto
