I am new to this group, so maybe this has been asked? (Or, maybe this is appropriate for another group??) We have a HP digital scope (54501A) that has an HP-IB parallel interface. Currently, we use a ThinkJet printer to get screen dumps of the oscilloscope's screen. I am hoping to get screen dumps output to an Epson graphics printer (and forget the ThinkJet). Now, after I build a HP-IB -> RS232 interface, I want to log all the incoming data from the Scope to a unix pc, convert the data to Epson mode in the unix PC, and pipe it to the Epson. (See diagram below.) So my question is: Does anyone know or have experience converting HPs ThinkJet graphics language to a standard Epson graphics mode language?? (Some C Code would be terrific!!)
