Under HPUX there is no timed available, probably because adjtime() is not present. Is there some other version of timed available? -- Peter Mutsaers email: muts@fysap.fys.ruu.nl Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht muts@fys.ruu.nl Princetonplein 5 tel: (+31)-(0)30-533880 3584 CG Utrecht, Netherlands

I recommend Ken Stone's excellent implementation of NTP version 2 (xntp) for HPUX. This is available via anonymous FTP from columbia.edu. We use it on all of our HP-9000/400s servers, and are very happy with the results. This implementation includes 'adjtimed' which is a daemon process giving you the effect of the adjtime() system call.
