Hi, We run HP's named on a 9000/835 with HP-UX 7.0, and we experienced some problems. HP's named is based on BIND 4.8.0, and thus has the problem that it has no asynchronous zone transfer; i.e. the server refuses to answer queries when a zone is being transferred. This problem is solved in later releases of the public domain BIND, and it will be solved in release 8.0 of HP-UX, which will be shipped out to us somewhere in May. We tried porting BIND 4.8.3 to HP-UX, but encountered some problems in doing so. Is there anyone who ported BIND version 4.8.3 or 4.8.2 to HP-UX 7.0 succesfully?
