Excuse this posting if the subject has been discussed before, but I do not
usually read this newsgroup and am posting this for a fellow researcher. He
has some sort of instrument analysis system based on HP1000-E cpu's running
the RTE-6 operating system, he has expressed a wish to connect the cpu's to
our laboratory lan - ethernet running IP/DECnet/AppleTalk protocols. What
options (if any) does he have? HP have apparently told him that ethernet
connectivity is not supported ... What about 3rd party cards/software?
Please e-mail me at ianm@bhpmrl.oz.au not the address in the 'reply to'
part of the header (problems with name servers....)
Thanks in advance
Ian
