We recently installed a HP laserjet IIP (33471AB) with HP Postscript cartridge in our 9000/300 cluster. It hangs off the serial port of one of the diskless nodes. We managed to print Postscript files only by stripping down the interface script to its bare minimum: no options, no banners, no resets. What is the proper way to do this? Does anybody have a working script ("/usr/spool/lp/interface/postscript" or something) or some suggestions? It seems a postscript printer doesn't accept anything that isn't postscript, not even plain text. Please e-mail. -- "Always remember, however, that there's Bert Bos (bert@let.rug.nl) usually a simpler and better way to do Alfa-informatica something than the first way that pops RijksUniversiteit Groningen into your head." You can either buy the "transcript" interface from Adobe (this is what I have), or try your luck with a public domain system called "ghostscript", available by anon ftp from jaguar.utah.edu. /Luis -- Luis Miguel.
