Howdy, netlanders. I seem to remember a thread a few months back about 98642A muxes and 9000/300s, and there's one going on now, but one of my cohorts in crime is having a problme that's increasing in frequency the closer we get to needing the system on-line. System: HP9000/370, 16MB RAM, HP-UX 6.5, 98642A mux, DOS CoProcessor card, 323MB SCSI disk, 6 plane graphics. Symptoms: Attempting to use kermit (rev unknown at this moment) to communicate at 19200 baud over 98642A mux channel. Works fine the majority of time, but completely freezes the system often enough to be REALLY annoying. The port is talking to an Analog Devices MAC-6000, if that makes any difference. I'm going to get the latest and greatest version of Kermit this afternoon, and see what happens, but I thought I'd see if anyone has had similar problems, or knows of a reason why the 98642A can't run at 19200, or .......
