[comp.sys.hp] VECTRA PORTABLE PROBLEM

sac@hpfcso.FC.HP.COM (Sean Chapin) (05/01/91)

                                                           4/30/91

I have a VERCTRA PORTABLE (the 17 lb one) and portions of the keyboard
no longer work (~6 keys). I've diagnosed the problem to an
OKI M80C49-600 (Micro-controller with ROM --> used as a keyboard
processor). This part probably was programmed by HP. The Part has a
typed label on it with the code NO710060131. What I need is help
in getting an HP part number for this guy so I can order one. Any
    help would be much appreciated.

You might do better to look for help on the Zenith Supersport 286
which is what HP packaged as the Vectra Portable for about 10 months.
I don't think much of anything in there is HP specific - you might
try to find a store in the Fort which handles Zenith - probably
find it for less than the TAC on an HP part.....
