Hi,
Well, judging by the number of responses I received in response to my
post about the Varian Spectrometer (zero), I guess that it's not exactly
the most popular item on the agenda :-). Like I said, I am desperate, so
let me rephrase the question a bit. What would make a 310 different from
an 85, as with the latter the spec communicates without any problems over
an HP-IB ? I called Varian (makers of the spec) but they were only pre-
pared to talk about the connection to the 85 not the 310. So, another
question is: if this is not the best place to post, what other groups might
be better suited to help me solve this problem (I really do need to figure
this out).
A second and unrelated question is this - I have just upgraded our 310s
to BASIC 6.0 under which our wordprocessor (Wordwise 300.3) refuses to work.
I have tried calling James Associates at (303) 484-5296 but that number is
out of service and information for Fort Collins has no new listing for James
Associates. Would anyone know if it is possible to obtain upgrades for this
product and if so, how would I go about it.
