Has anyone (from HP or otherwise) any idea when HPUX 8.0 is going to be shipped to customers for the 300 series machines? I've got a 16Meg 9000/345 running here that grinds to a halt under the weight of having static X11R4 libraries! I'd really like the shared library support that 8.0 offers... (naw, really??!! ;-) Any clues? Last time I talked to the "factory", the word I got was that 8.0 for the 800s had passed quality control, but someone put a hold on distribution. No firm date for shipment, but expected within the month. However, 8.0 for the 300s had some serious trouble, and would ship at least 8 weeks after the 800 version.
