[comp.sys.hp] SCSI on HP9000/[800] Systems

mike@socrates.umd.edu (mike santangelo (UNIX/VMS Sys Staff)) (05/31/91)

I see that HP is now offering a SCSI adapter board for the HP-PB
and CIO based systems HP9000 Series 800 systems.

What version of HP-UX is it supported with? 8.something I presume.
And what kind of driver support exists for it, will it practically
support third-party SCSI disks? Does it have immediate support
for at least the SCSI versions of HP's 330/660/1200 MB (coyote)
disks? HP's DAT drive?

(just out of curiosity I see that the board is also available for
the HP-PA based HP3000s, anyone at HP know how MPE XL will support
SCSI? We have an HP3000/960 system, so...)

Thanks.
