As far as I can determine, the 'uiomove' kernel call seems to be limited to a maximum length of 128 KB. I am currently using a HP9000/400 machine and expect to move the source code to the 700 series. The size limitations are not documented in the manual and I was wondering if there would be any problem (side effects) of using 128 KB size. Is there the same limitation on the Snake (700)? The driver I'm working supports a maximum memory page size of 1 MB and larger transfer are preferred. While thinking of uiomove, does anyone know if the underlying routines, copyin and copyout, are optimized to use 32-bit word transfers?
