The lpadmin (et al) commmands qualify users by requiring that they belong to the lp admin group. I have gone through the administration docs, but found nothing that says how this is done. We have specified users for this command set on the lp group in the /etc/group file, but this has been insufficient. Any help would be appreciated. Alas, whatever happened to /etc/printcap??? Ciao 4 Now.

If you link /etc/logingroup to /etc/group this will accomplish what you want, but I'm not sure (almost positive) it is not the best way to accomplish what you want. > >Any help would be appreciated. > >Alas, whatever happened to /etc/printcap??? printcap is a BSD'ism HP-UX is mostly SYS V at the user level.
