I'm searching for an HP graphics terminal emulator for my Macintosh. At work I have an HP9000 835 (HP-UX 7.0 presently) with HP-98730 graphics running Starbase grapics. At home I have a Mac SE-30 (multifinder 6.0 presently), and the two are communicating via 2400 baud modems. I have asked the comp.sys.mac.comm newgroup for their opinons and received the following replies: From anonymity requested: > Reflections from Walker, Richer & Quinn in Seattle is good but $. > Business/Graphics Session from Tymlabs in Austin Texas is ok. From Todd Safra: > I believe that a program called Pacer Graphic will allow you to do > this type of emulation. Best of luck! From Jeff Parke: > Thanks for the info on HP terminal emulators. I also heard of an HP > product that will run on the mac called ADVLINK. They will sell it to > you for a mere $300. Do you folks have any comments on the above products, or price/ availabilty info? Are there any other products available? I realize that my SE-30 will never match the HP's performance, and that the modems will limit throughput, but I still think that it would be nice to be able to do graphics work at home. Thanks in advance! Glen Ramsay glen@biocal.bio.jhu.edu ramsay@jhunix.bitnet p.s. If you want a summary of the replies then let me know.
