I have problems with GEOS on my 64. It boots, and I get the desktop screen, but no cursor and no reaction to any key. The manual assumes that either GEOS fails to boot, or it boots OK. Anyone ever seen this? Cure? I think my 1541 is OK.

I think my 1541 is OK. Just a question- have you put your joystick or mouse into port-1? GEOS requires an input device to move the pointer around. I hope you read at least the first 3 pages of the manual... -- Fred Bowen uucp: {ihnp4|seismo|caip}!cbmvax!fred arpa: cbmvax!fred@seismo.css.GOV tele: 215 431-9100 Commodore Electronics, Ltd., 1200 Wilson Drive, West Chester, PA, 19380

Do you by chance have a printer interface such as the Grappler CD or other device plugged into the Cartridge Port? A friend of mine had the same problem, and that was what was wrong. I don't know how he is handling using/not using the printer, but I will ask. Try unplugging the printer and try again. Good Luck! ;-) -- .-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
