[comp.sys.cbm] YA PLUS/4 Question

wanttaja@ssc-vax.UUCP (Ronald J Wanttaja) (01/09/87)

I've finally come up with a good application for one of the spare computers
around my house...a Commodore PLUS/4. But since I want it semi-portable,
I'd like to use a tape drive instead of a disk drive (besides, I'm cheap).
Not wanting to scrounge for the CBM 1531 Datasette, I'd like to build an
adaptor in order to use my old 1530 cassette unit. (For those unfamiliar
with the +4/C-16 world, they use a unique connector for both the joystick
and the cassette unit).

However, none of my +4 references show the pinout for the cassette port!
Could anyone send me a diagram of the connection? A clever little Email
diagram would be sufficient...please indicate whether the diagram is of the
plug end or the jack end.

Failing that, does anybody know where I can pick up a 1531 cheap? I'm
currently using a disk drive for the application, and my wife's cats
just love it (it's soooo wide and sooooo warm). Please help me rescue it!
