[comp.sys.cbm] chips for c64's

gail@alberta.UUCP (02/14/87)

All kinds of special Commodore chips for the c64 and 1541 are
available from a company called Jameco. They have video, 6510,
I/O chips, all the ROMs, even the PLAs!!
This company has been around a long time, and they advertise in
the bigger mags like BYTE, COMPUTERS, ELECTRONICS, etc..
Just check the advertisers' index in the back.

By the way, the price of these chips is usually less than $20.
They start at just a few bucks each and go up depending on how
special the chip is.

I am feeling good about have a source now (other that a repair $$$ shop)
for chips -- should I ever blow a chip.
viva la c64.
