All the talk about Punter transfer here is interesting since I just had a little 'talk' with a friend about it. I use x-modem pretty much exclusively. It is the standard and it's really nice to have. My friend, however, says that there is a new Punter 10 protocol that (so he says) will transfer a file faster at 300 baud than X-modem at 1200!! The only way I can see this happening is by packing the data and taking advantage of the 64 shortcuts (like simultaneous disk writing, etc). Does anyone know anything about Punter 10? I'd like to know something about how this speed is acheived. Any help would be appreciated (the more I know the better I can argue)...
