The situation: I have a C64 at home with a 300/1200 baud modem and an XMODEM program written in BASIC (ie, 300 baud) typed in from a recent issue of COMPUTE!. I'd like to dial up my office system and use the XMODEM program I recently got off of this newsgroup. The problem is, the office system is set up to answer at 1200 baud and switch to 300 (and back) with each receipt of a BREAK, but I haven't discovered how to get the BREAK sent out! The request: I would like to hear from anyone who knows how I can send a break out the modem from my C64. Also, any help on how to get 1200 baud from a BASIC program (I haven't got any tools for assembly lang. or compiling -- alms for the poor? ;-) would be appreciated. Please mail directly to me rather than posting to the net. I'll summarize if there are enough requests. TIA. =============================================================== Bill Anderson ..tektronix!ogcvax!cvedc!wanderson Computervision ..sun!cvbnet!cvedc!wanderson 14952 NW Greenbrier Parkway FAX (503) 645-4734 Beaverton, Oregon 97006 Phone (503) 645-2410
