Kent and I have read with interest all of the flames directed to Dr. Evil Labs recently concerning Kermit 2.0 and the lack of distribution. The following is our official response and will hopefully put this issue to rest. We understand quite well why some of you may be upset on not receiving version 2.0 yet, but having gotten your cancelled checks back. Here are the reasons (not excuses) for any delays. 1) Dr. Evil Labs is a business, and as such, the standard policy is to wait for all checks to clear. (=: This includes from our grandmothers :=) 2) Due to the OVERWHELMING response, we had to secure more blank disks for Kermit distribution. This takes 1 to 2.5 weeks. 3) Whether it was explicitly stated before or not, all of the people involved in Dr. Evil Labs are in school and, at certain times of the year, have certain other responsibilities (i.e. final exams). 4) Kent and I do not handle the distribution directly during the school year because we are not allowed to receive or send business mail from our college dorm. One of the two people who has generously DONATED his time to help us during the college year has had a severe family crisis recently. The other person who is helping is Kent's mother. With all these things in mind, we still apologize for any delays. We are really fired up about the Kermit project, and we really do care about improving and distributing Kermit and we are NOT (repeat NOT) trying to steal your money or pull an April Fool's joke. Please be patient. All orders received thus far should be at their destinations by Monday, May 18. Once again, thank you for your patience. I (Ray) will be at here at Purdue most of the summer to receive any Email concerning Kermit. Kent will be at the 'home office' (Ha, Ha) to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
