Easy questions to answer! The RAMDOS program currently distributed with
the 1764 will only work with the C64 (or C128 in 64 mode, of course). There
should be no problem using it in 64 mode with a 1750, although the RAMdisk
size may not be quite right. (The Sniff_Disk_Size routine has been changed
recently, and no longer depends upon the single DMA controller status bit to
set disk size. When you have 3 sizes (128K, 256K, and 512K) it's kinda hard
to accurately determine the size from a single I/O bit, yunno?)

I released a 'universal RAMdisk' disk to QA several weeks ago. Once it pops
outta there, ***I will be posting it***. Possibly (no promises, dammit!) next
week. The RAMDOS software still differs between C64 & C128, but the diskette
contains both versions and figgers out which to use. I will investigate
whether the diskette can be purchased directly from Commodore.

The RAMDOS will also be available via the 128 Developer's Package (DEVPAK),
which is also in QA. It's a 4 disk set of tools (assembler, EDT-style editor,
loader, some C64 utilities like ZAP loader, etc.) and source code for mouse
(1351) drivers, RAM expander stuff, C64 fast loaders, etc.

It is quite possible that it will be the best day of my life when I can say
"it is available now"... especially since I've been able to use them
everyday for the last year or so!!!

Oh, while I'm at it- the CP/M version which supports the 1581 is still in QA
too, but has quite possibly just been completed- I'll run over and see...
