[comp.sys.cbm] instruments

bobc@killer.UUCP (10/07/87)

I have written a program that plays music on the C-128 running under the
CP/M mode. One of the features of it is a menu that lets you select from a
list of instruments what you want the output to sound like. Another feature
allows you to set your own parameters of ASDR, filtering, volume, waveform,
etc. My major failing is that even those instruments that are listed in the
Commodore documentation don't sound like what they are listed as being. My
second majorest failing is being unable to cook up an instrument on my own
that sounds like either something that exists or at least something worthwhile.
What i would like would be some input on any interesting voices that any of
you have invented on your own that use the standard SID parameters. Email
me anything inventive in any listing format that is unambiguous. If I feel
that it is sufficiently different from what is already available I will include
a mention of contributors when I release it to the public.

Thanks,
Bob Calbridge
