Based on this review, I went out and bought this game. It *really* is a lot of fun (reminds me of Marble Madness, sort of). However, after a certain level, this game just plain dies. The screen graphics get messed up, and then the first guy I lose after that point causes the machine to lock up. Wierd. Also, the game seems to have many enemies implemented with sprites. However, after the third level (the one with the nasty fans), I do not get anymore sprite enemies. Strange. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know if Mastertronics has a replacment policy for bad disks? I bought this ar Toys'R'Us, and I don't expect them to be of much help (I know, I know, not a great store, but it is the only place left around here with a large selection of c64 games). The reason I am posting this is that I have had troubles like this with one other Mastertronics game, "The Last V8." It too is a fun game, but every once in a while it seems to load fine but then dies suddenly by locking up, much like "Bounder." Now, I have quite a few Mastertronics games, abd these are the only two that die, but then these are also the only two that have bizarre scrolling routines. So bizarre, in fact, that when I try and do a cold reset in "Bouner" (with a button I installed myself), I get multicolored wave patterns all over the screen. To my knowledge, this has *never* happened with any other software when I use the my reset button. Any idea what it is doing? (Powering down completely restores the computer). > Dave Lowrey > Amdahl Corp. > Houston, Texas > (713)-850-8828 > ...!{ihnp4,cbosgd,hplabs,oliveb}!amdahl!dwl10 -Chris -- Chris Lishka /lishka@uwslh.uucp Wisconsin State Lab of Hygiene <-lishka%uwslh.uucp@rsch.wisc.edu "What, me, serious?
