[comp.sys.cbm] C power query!

finkel@TAURUS.BITNET (03/04/88)

I am interested in obtaining information about C-Power for the C64.

I have an old version of the program. very old. I don't remember the exact
release version number, but the manual was 3rd printing, and it was still
pro-line. it's at least 2 years old.

I am interesting in getting the latest version of C-Power and I have a couple
of questions:

1) Who sells it now? Spinnaker? What's their address? what's the price?

2) Does it has a graphics library?

3) The most important question: Is it copy protected? This is really important
to me. I have removed the copy protection from my old copy ( for my own use,
ofcourse ). The reason was that I wanted to run it from a Hard-disk. ( I
could easily back it up using a nibbler, but I removed the protection totally).
I work in a company which sells an IEEE based LAN for the C64. We used to sell
it with 8250's but now we sell it with our own HD server. it's very fast, and
it's designed especially for network environment. ( Actually, in each HD there
is a Commodore 710 computer system board! ). Our network is based on changing
the alterable system calls. I don't want to start working on removing the
copy protection again. I'm too tired for that.

4) I remember reading here that there is a PD assembler which is running
under C-Power's shell. I am very interested in getting it. If anyonw has it,
please write to me. ( Please!!!!.... )

thanks in advance,
