Has anybody else had a problem with turning on their 1571, shoving a disk into it, turn on the C128, watch BASIC 7.0 copyright message come up, and then -- lockup? I have very early model C-128 and 1571 (1571 has ROM upgrade, C128 doesn't). Is this some problem in the disk routines that was fixed in the new version C128 ROMs? Also, nobody ever did answer my question about 6551 interrupts. I have my 6551 hooked to the NMI's right now, so that I don't drop characters. But from looking at the C128 schematics, it looks like they should go to IRQs, because that's all that goes to the Z-80. Since I know little 8080 assembler, and even less about the structure of Commodore's mangled CP/M version, my glances at the device driver sources have been less than enlightening... -- Eric Lee Green elg@usl.CSNET Snail Mail P.O.
