OOPS!! Kermit 2.1 hasn't yet made it into the official Kermit archives as I advertised in my earlier message. The files have been submitted and they should appear there soon. In the meantime, the files are available via anonymous ftp to j.cc.purdue.edu (network number 10.1.0.37.). They are in the directory "pub/kermit2.1". (Don't confuse this with the directory called "kermit".) You want to get the files "c64ker.doc", "c64ker.ini", "c64auto.bas". If you can deal with binary files, you want to get the file "binary". If you can't deal with binary files, read the file "c64ker.hlp" for information as to how to get the main program the hard way. These files will be removed after they appear in the official Kermit archives or when our /usr filesystem fills up, whichever comes first. Note that the file "binary" will not be a part of the Kermit archives. The archives are kept on a machine with a real funky architecture and binary files there are not compatible with anybody else's. I will be holding an on-line conference about Kermit on Qlink this Sunday, April 24, at 10 PM EST in the telecommunications SIG. Stop by if you have any questions or comments about Kermit. (And if you have a Qlink account!)
