Sender:K W Smith Keywords:Talisman, characters In response to the initiation of a Talisman discussion, first I would have to say that it is difficult to pick one favorite character class, especially since I haven't played them all yet. My favorite experience while playing occurred when I was two or three steps behind another player who was heading for the Crown. He got there in time to cast one Command spell, but on the next turn, I was there with him. He had no counter spell for the Random spell I cast at him. At times, and this annoys a lot of other players, I will watch someone roll a die, say the number I want them to roll, and it pops up. Sure enough, I said "One", and he rolled a one turning him into a toad for three rounds. With no Talisman in his possession, he had to leave the Crown area. I love having the proliferation of character classes, but with a group of five or more playing, the choosing becomes tedious. So I wrote a short program that reads all of the classes in, from data of course, and them randomly assigns them to players. It does work well and is a suggestion for any of you who have the same problem. I'm curious as to how much the "Timescape" set costs. Any help? Since I know so few people who play Talisman, I also encourage others to join in this discussion. KWS [The ARCHMAGE]
