I have the Promenade for the C-64, and was wondering if there has been any update sofware for it? I bought it used, and it works just fine, although I want to program 27512s and it only accepts 27256s. Is there any way to do this? Thanks, -ethan -- Ethan R. To program a 27512 would require 64K of buffer space (since a 27512 is organized as 64Kx8). A 27256 only requires 32K of buffer space, which is also approximately how much memory is left in the system after the Promenade software is loaded. Remember, a C-64 only has 64K of RAM total, and much of that is overlayed by OS ROMs and I/O devices.... -- Eric Lee Green ..!{ames,decwrl,mit-eddie,osu-cis}!killer!elg Snail Mail P.O. The 27512 Eprom can be programmed on the promenade. The process involves two prgrammings, one with a pin on the 27512 grounded, and another with the same pin tied high. I have done this, but moved on to a different job since then. I got the info on how to do it from the Jason Ranheim factory, so give them a call! Greg Garner 501-442-4847
