I have a 1670 modem and would like to use it on a standard RS-232 port. Is this possible? Has anyone built some kind of conversion kit? Can anyone recommend a good, cheap 2400 baud modem? Please email any responses and I will post a summary later. Thank you all. Jim Mower, Dept. of Geography and Planning University at Albany jem97@leah.albany.edu (internet) jem97@albny1vx (bitnet)

I can't help with convertin the 1670, but the Supra2400 modem gets rave reviews wherever modems are mentioned. I have one, like it very much, and am especially pleased with the service I get from Supra. It costs about $135-150, depending on where you ask. Betty Clay ........Killer!pollux!bjc
