[comp.sys.cbm] Ultima V

Is this the C=64 version, or the Apple version? British programs
on the Apple, so the Apple version generally comes out a few months
before any other version. Or is the Apple version already out?

Also, are there plans for an Amiga version of this program? I wasn't
that impressed with the Amy version of Ultima III (its better than
the Apple or C=64 versions, but still...), and might just get Ultima V
for my Apple, if the Amy version isn't going to be that much better.

Does anyone know when Ultima V is going to be released for the
Commodore 64/128..? If so, I would appreciate any info.

Yes, that's right. Origin has been advertising the Commodore release of
Ultima V since last December, and they finally released it this week.
(I ordered it through Software Discounters of America in February, so I think
it's about time...)

Has anyone out there seen the game on the Apple or IBM? (Those were released
on time...:^) What did you think of it?

I have been playing the IBM version of ULTIMA V for the last few months.

They have taken ULTIMA IV, and improved it alot....
o Missle weapons can be aimed at a specific enemy
o The people in the towns now work, eat, and sleep on a regular schedule.
This means that someone you want to talk to might not be around when
    you enter a town.
o The realm of britania is the same as in ULTIMA IV, more or less.
However, there is a place called the "UNDERWORLD" that is as
large as Britania. However, you aren't given a map of the underworld!
o Battles can be won in new ways, due to new spells avaaliable.

I am now on my final quest (equivalent to the descent into the Codex in
Ultima IV).

The game is expensive, and long, but well worth it. If you liked any of
the previous Ultimas, you will LOVE this one!!!
