Any references for making an >st506/412 interface? You might save some time if you use an Adaptec (7040?? -- I don't think that's quite the right number...) SCSI --> ST506 controller. (Several places that advertise in Computer Shopper have it listed.) That's assuming you actually go ahead with the C128 --> SCSI end of it. If you do, maybe there's a market, at least as a construction article for some magazine. Good luck (you just may need it! :-). Tom Bruhns tomb%hplsla@hplabs.hp.com

I just bought an Adaptec 4000 SCSI->ST506 convertor from Timeline, Inc. The ad was in last month's Computer Shopper. I don't know if it works yet or not :-). It was only $60, as opposed to the usual $130. Don't know if I'm a satisfied customer or not (but with no other affiliation to Timeline), -Mike Schwager schwager@a.cs.uiuc.edu -- {uunet,convex,pur-ee}!uiucdcs!schwager schwager%uiuc@csnet-relay.arpa University of Illinois, Dept. of Computer Science
