I am looking for a 1200 baud modem and a kermit package to download text files such as mail, etc. What types of modems are there? I have a C-64 and I want to download to a 4.3 BSD UNIX mainframe. Will any modems also require certain interfaces or any modifications? I really don't know much about the way computers actually work, so please don't recommend modems that need a EE degree to modify it for my applications :-) Also, what price ranges should I be expecting to deal with? .signature ????? Get Commodore's 1670 modem. 1200 baud, total Hayes compatibility and
works on both 64 and 128. It costs from $59-$70 depending on where you can
find the best deal.
