don@vax1.acs.udel.EDU (Donald R Lloyd) (02/04/89)
I tried to mail this but it kept getting returned, so I posted it:
Include me in your mailing list!
I know virtually nothing about *nix or any other OS other than the basics
of my 128 & the vax at the UD, but I'm working on "broadening my horizons" and
this might be a good way to do it. Right now my programming knowledge goes
only as far as a pretty good mastery of BASIC, and a smattering of LISP and C.
LISP was part of a required comp. sci. course for my major (elec. engineering)
and I've been teaching myself a little C in my spare time (but considering how
much spare time I generally have, it's doubtful I'll really get into it for a
while). I'll be starting a class on Modula-2 on tuesday (Know of any inexpen-
sive M2 compilers for the 128 or 64?).
I guess basically what I'm trying to say is that for now I won't be able
to contribute much to your group, but I'd at least like to join it as an ob-
server.
Unless Publisher's Clearing House comes through for me this year, that
Amiga 2000 I've been lusting after for months is still a long way away, so I'd like to make the most out of my 128 for now. This seems like a good way to do it.
Thanks,
Don
