Several years ago, I purchased the 1541 Flash disk drive speedup unit for my Commodore 64 with one 1541 disk drive. I have been very happy with the unit. I recently acquired a second 1541 drive. I called the manufacturere of the 1541 Flash (Skyles Electric Works) to inquire if they had an upgrade policy for converting the hardware to handle two disk drives. I was informed that they can no longer obtain any of the chips that are used in the device. So they no longer have the dual drive model of the 1541 Flash. So, if anyone out there has one that they are not using, and would like to sell, I would be interested if the price is right.
