Hi there, A while back I posted a request for help pertaining to making a bootable copy of GEOS that loaded on non-Commodore disk drives. I have a MSD SD-2 dual drive and the load routines GEOS used didn't agree with my drive and after I sold my 1541 to get the drive I realized I couldn't boot GEOS anymore. As you could imagine, this was VERY anoying. But I heard about a program in shareware that allows you to create a GEOS boot disk that loads on all drives, so I bugged my friend to do this for me (I couldn't do it myself becasue you had to run the program from GEOS !!!). I now have a version of GEOS that loads just fine but when GEOS asks for a disk with the desktop it won't recognize my drive, or my drive is ignoring GEOS or something like that. Has anyone else had any experiences like this ? Does anyone know how to fix this ? Is there a way to fix this or do I have to shell out dough for a 1541 or some other Commodore drive to run GEOS ? I'd appreciate any help in this matter, ALOT !! |Harris L.
