My 64 blew and I was wondering if anyone knew what the problem could be. Whee computer goes on, it gives a really messed up screen(like tv fuzz, no cursor or anything) and I can't access the drive or anything. I've tried other power packs and another color chip, no help. Thanks.

Ryan:
The problem you are experiencing with your computer not accessing
your drive is probalbly attributable to having blown a 6526 chip. There
are 2 of them in the 64, on the left-hand side. One runs the drive,
printer, modem etc, and the other is for keyboard. I can't remember
which is which anymore...but chack that.
The other problem with the screen might be your 6581 chip. That's
usually what I check when the screen graphics go nutso.
