Joe, If you finally get those two cartridges up and running, I am certain a lot of us less technically minded, but otherwise willing souls would like to hear from you as to "how-to-do-it". With only a half Meg of RAM, I am constantly switching the contents of the REU, and one Meg would save a lot of wear and tear on the 81's, not to mention time. BTW, I do not know if this will be of any help, but I do run a 64k QBB along with the 1750, and also in CP/M mode. I run with mostly commercial productive software, and have come across only two instances where either the REU or QBB have gotten corrupted. Using alternative programs has gotten around this prob, and the two cartridges co-exist quite nicely. Perhaps, instead of a second 1750, you could figure a way to up the QBB to a half Meg? Having the non-volatile memory is a nice feature. :)

I need RAMDOS, which kinda needs one, and my other use requires very fast access. I've found that even working with the REU is relatively slow, but faster than manually working with internal RAM (due to the nature of the application). *MY* experience has been no-go. I was unable to get a 1700/1750 to work, and I also experimented with a 1750/1750. Same damn results. Now if fred@cbmvax would share his "partitioning" hacks to RAMDOS, I do believe I could live. -- jgreco@csd4.milw.wisc.edu Joe Greco at FidoNet 1:154/200 USnail: 9905 W Montana Ave PunterNet Node 30 or 31 West Allis, WI 53227-3329 "These aren't anybody's opinions."
