Geez, it is pretty quiet out here. I wonder where the Commodoreans are ! Maybe they are on vacation. I guess I come back next month..... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Hi, Has anyone got the LADS version of YMODEM for C64 (posted a while back) working after downloading it ? In my case, I downloaded a LADS utility program from a local BBS. Also, I have the YMODEM LADS program on the same diskette. Now the problem is I don't know how to start the LADS program after loading it. That is, I don't have the info about the "SYS XXXXX" to start the LADS on my C64. Without LADS, I can not decode the YMODEM LADS program. Any help is appreciated ! ps. I did look into the appropriate track and sector of the LADS utility program to obtain the req'd info. But for some reason, using the value stored there did not seem to work ! Patrick pcw@squid.tn.cornell.edu

I stopped using LADS eons ago, but I believe you clear the screen, type the source file name in the upper left hand corner, go down a line or two, and type "sys11000".... LADS is an incredibly wierd assembler, although it does work. I prefer, however, PAL. It's shorter, more flexible, and relocatable. I don't wipe out my assembler every time I load a long file! :-) -- jgreco@csd4.milw.wisc.edu Joe Greco at FidoNet 1:154/200 USnail: 9905 W Montana Ave PunterNet Node 30 or 31 West Allis, WI 53227-3329 "These aren't anybody's opinions."
