Could you elaborate more on that point? I haven't personally used this packages myself but they come from two very reputable software companies. And the description given about the packegas where taken from ads advertizing these products. geoCHART by Berkeley Softworks geoChart gives the Commodore 64 and 128 owners charting and graphing abilities never before offered by any publisher. geoChart can import data from all Berkeley Softworks and GEOS based products. geoChart features 9 chart types (pie, unibar, area, point, line, column, bar, scatter point and scatter line). 14 formats for displaying axis label values (scientific, dollar/currency, integer and percent), opaque and transparent fill patterns in area charts, "WYSIWYG" orientation, easy to use pull-down menus, and support for over 70 popular printers. One thing tough, to run geoChart you need to have GEOS (graphics emvironment operating system). A GEOS-pacakge comes with GEOS, geoWrite, geoPaint and other application programs that are ran under GEOS. GEOS v1.3 package can be bought at TENEX at a special price of $9.95 (before the release of v2.0, this package costed around $40). If you are only interesed in using geoChart under GEOS, then I suggest you get his package. However, if you also want to use other application programs that are ran under GEOS, I suggest you get the GEOS v2.0 package. The geoWrite, geoPaint, and the GEOS itself that comes in this packege are far superior version of 1.3. Moreover, GEOS v2.0 package comes with spell checker and textgrabber. Chartpak by Abacus Software Create your own professional quality charts and graphs for business or school without time-consuming programming. Quickly enter, edit, save, and recall your data, and then interactively build your chart. Choose from pie, bar, line, or scatter charts. Specify scaling, labeling, and positioning. Chartpak will instantly draw the graph in any of eight different formats. Chartpak 64 includes statistical routine for average, standard deviation, least squares, and forecasting. Display your graphs on the screen or print to most printers including Commodore 1525/MPS-801/526, Epson, Star Micronics, Okidata (including Okimate 10 in color), and C. Itoh. You will be able to get these software packages in most stores that carries softwares for the C64, or from number of mail order companies. Here are just of few that I know of: TENEX: Computer Express 219-259-7051 Computer Direct 312-382-5050 J & R Music World <--- they do carry computer software!!! 718-417-3743 and hardware!!! Lyco Computer is another one, Software Support International, etc Look in commodore magazines for more mail order companies. I intentionally omitted to put the price of those packages, so that you may go and find the best price for them. :) Well I hope this was of help.... Sincerely, Scott Stephen
