Hello! I've been having some trouble with my C128 (the original one), and decided that consulting the collective wisdom of the net was a wise thing to do before shelling out MEGABUCKS to have a store look at it... Well anyway, occasionally (well, often) while I am using my C128 in 80-column mode with my C1084 monitor, the screen goes on a rampage, sometimes switching from 80 columns to, say, 67 or so columns, sometimes cutting off everything past the first seven or so rows, sometimes just filling up with static. In any case, if I react fast enough, and am using Desterm 128, I can recover the screen (with a bit of garbage tossed in) by pressing the <CTRL> - <RUN/STOP> combination to bring up the main menu. If I don't react fast enough, the computer just locks up. Any suggestions? I am near the edge now, after having my computer blitz on me twice in the past 10 minutes, and might do something drastic. Anyhow, I sincerely appreciate any and all suggestions and/or comments that you might have for me. Thanx in advance. (Don't know if the .sig works, so...) Christopher W.
