Well, I just did it. The nifty downloads I got off the net in the past few weeks just happened to all be on the same disk, and I just happened to GEOS-ize the disk, and I just happened to forget that I converted some files on there to GEOS format, and I just happened to go scratch some files from the disk through normal CBM-DOS (not geoDOS), and GEOS just happened to not like the disk after that, and... All the Geos stuff I pulled from here recently is dead, at least until I figure out how to mess with the disk structure and set things right again. A truly daunting prospect. I would REALLY like to see a Commodore FTP site established so that Commodore files will always be availabble. I'm no longer on Q-Link (prices got a tad exorbitant), so I can't get stuff from there; wouldn't it be grand to have a copy of Q-Link's stuff right here on the InterNet? [hint hint] There's GOTTA be a site SOMEWHERE around here with some CBM and GEOS stuff on it - and I'm not referring to the Kermit available from maxwell.physics.- purdue.edu. That's nice - thanks to whoever put that up! - but I'd like to see a bit more offered, somewhere... Meanwhile, if anyone happens to have uuencoded (or other) copies of "convertDA" (the CBM-to-Geos converter DA) or "MacAttack II" from the postings of a few short weeks ago, could you please E-mail them to me? Please? And I'd reallyReallyREALLY like to have DesTerm 128, too... [more hinting] Please pity me, and thankew in advance! << Brian >> -- | Brian S.
