In December 1988 issue (Volume 9, issue 2) of TRANSACTOR magazine there was a project published for the C64 which would increase the internal memory of the C64 to 256KB. Along with this project there was a configuration program for GEOS called "Configure256" which would configure the expanded memory to be used as a RAM disk under GEOS 1.3. The code for this configuration program seems to have been written in assembly code to be entered using geoProgrammer. The problem is that I don't have geoProgrammer, and also the listing of the program is kind of long. So if there is a person out there who has this program already in a file form, could you mail it to me (or if you like post it here for the benefit of other users). It would really save me a lot of time, and I would be very grateful. This project is basically replacing the eight 4164 chips (each chip having 64k bits of memory, thus 8 chips giving 64k bytes) with eight 41256 chips (each chip having 256k bits of memory, thus 8 chips giving 256k bytes) and building an add-on controller board. Thus far I have successfully replaced the eight 4164 chips with eight 41256 chips. According to the article, this is the most delicate, harduous, and expensive part of the entire project. So I think I am in good shape! next part the add-on controller board. Thanks in advance, Scott K. Stephen
