I hope this is the right newsgroup to send this to... My research lab, not having much money , has just acquired a CBM PET, in the hopes of using it as a data acquisition tool, via the IEEE 488 interface... problem is, we have NO documentation, of any sort, and therefore have absolutely no idea how to access the interface. We would also like to attach a modem to it, to send data to one of the university mainframes, but again, have no idea what might be available/possible. (we don't even know which port is which on the back...) If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it. we woould also be potentialy interested in anyone who might be interested in selling a modem which would be compatible with the system. (If it makes a difference, it's the 32K version, something like basic 3.2(?), and we have one of the dual disk-drive units, a 4040 I believe.. (I don't have it sitting in front of me at the moment)) any information/pointers(persume complete ignorance)/etc. greatly appreciated. Thanx Will Ray
