I have all the hardware necessary for a D9060 drive, but when I try to get a directory , the drive error LED lights up and the drive, when queried, tells me 20, READ ERROR, 00,00,0 (or something incredibly similar) I have it attached to an 80 col. 32kb BASIC 4.0 PET. The drive I know works because I sent it out to be repaired and tried it out on a PC controller when I could not get it to work in the D9060. I think all it needs is low level formatting. Where can I get a program like the ones used during manufacture? Also, just in case I have a cable wrong... All pin 1s are marked on the SASI <-> ST506 interface board with a square pin. I know no cables are upside down. There is 1 50 pin cable to the DOS/Control board, 1 34 pin cable to the control fingers on the drive, and 2 20 pin headers for data on drives 0 and 1. I am currently using P3, not P4 as my data header. I did not seem to get any better response using P4. The drive access light on the Tandon TM602S does light up while the drive is trying to work, so I think the cables are correct. Thanks in advance for any help. -ethan -- Ethan R.
