Earlier (twice, I think) I complained about Kermit 2.2
not giving me asdf etc., but instead giving me ^A,^S,^D etc.
(hitting D on a UNIX system therefore logging me out!).
I just solved my problem: I removed my hand-wired keyboard
cable extender (I have a C-128D) and it seems to work. My
suggestion to the other people who are having these problems
with Kermit is to check how your keyboard cable is attached.
Next problem: I was so excited about being able to
use Kermit that I logged into my IBM Mainframe account
to do a little Modula-2 and found that none of the
function keys work correctly. SET IBM ON made the problem
worse (only the RETURN key worked then). Any suggestions?
